Scout indicates which UK companies may be approaching a transition, using public records and our own models. By using it you agree to these terms.
This is the important one. Everything Scout shows is an indication for a human to look into — never a statement of fact about a company's intentions, solvency or future. Probabilities are cohort estimates: they describe how often outcomes occur across groups of similar businesses, not what any single business will do.
Verify before you act. Do not use Scout as the sole basis for an investment, credit, employment or commercial decision, and do not present its output to a third party as an assessment of their business.
Source records may be incomplete, late or wrong, and models are wrong sometimes by definition. We work hard on accuracy and show provenance so you can check anything, but the service is provided as is, without warranty that it is complete, current or fit for a particular purpose.
We may suspend an account that does these things.
An unlock reveals one company or one operator to your account and stays available to you. Free unlocks are granted once per account. Unlocks have no cash value and are not transferable.
The public records remain public — much of the source data is published under the Open Government Licence v3.0. The index, the models, the archetypes, the analysis and this site are ours. You keep whatever you create using the output.
Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit or lost opportunity, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
